Using this website
The pages here describe a service and set out general information about the South West. They are not a quotation for a specific job. Nothing on the site forms a contract until a booking is agreed in writing.
Prices are quoted per job once we know what needs photographing, where, and when. Any figure discussed before that is known is an estimate, not a quotation.
What a shoot covers
A shoot records what can be photographed from the air on the day of the flight, in the weather and light conditions on that day. Every angle discussed in advance is the plan rather than a promise, weather, access, airspace and safety around people or livestock can all limit what can actually be flown, and any such limit is flagged rather than quietly worked around.
This is a photography and video service. It does not constitute a survey, a valuation, a planning document or a structural assessment of any building or site, and images should not be relied on as such.
Licensing and use of images
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivered images and video are licensed to the person or business that booked the shoot for their own use: listings, brochures, websites, print and social media campaigns relating to the property, venue or business photographed.
The licence does not extend to selling, sub-licensing or passing the images on to an unrelated third party without agreement. Copyright in the imagery remains with the operator. If a booking needs a wider licence, an agency use, resale, stock use, say so before the shoot and it gets agreed as part of the quote.
Access and safety
Flights are carried out under the Civil Aviation Authority rules that apply to the operation, and to the operator's own risk assessment for the site. If conditions on the day make a safe flight impossible, the visit is rescheduled at no cost.
Wind, rain, poor light and airspace restrictions all stop flights. Rescheduling for weather or light is normal and is not treated as a cancellation.
Booking, payment and cancellation
A shoot is booked for an agreed date and a fixed price for the work described. If what is found on arrival is materially different from what was described, the price is re-agreed before any work is carried out.
Cancelling with reasonable notice costs nothing. A wasted visit, where access is not available or the site is not as described, may be charged.
Insurance and liability
Commercial operations are insured with Coverdrone. A copy of the certificate is available on request.
Liability is limited to the fee paid for the shoot, except where the law does not allow that limit.
